Instead of getting involved after a dispute has occurred, Bill and his qualified team are now proactively investigating businesses, and highlighting and recommending only those who prove the most trustworthy, through their practices, policies and positive track record with customers. Bill will share some of his experiences that he has gained over the past 30 years. Bill has spent 30+ years largely in Indianapolis with WTHR-13 (NBC), in Los Angeles with KCAL-9, and here in Salt Lake at KUTV-2, (CBS).

Kent Thomas

Kent L. Thomas is the founder of Advanced CFO Solutions, a firm dedicated to meeting the accounting and financial needs of over 100 small and medium-sized clients with experienced, outsourced, part-time consultants at a fraction of the cost of full time staff. With Advanced CFO’s assistance, its clients have raised over $600 Million in equity, debt and lease financing.
Kent has a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah and is a licensed CPA in Utah. Kent has served in a voluntary capacity with many organizations including: Grow Utah Ventures, CEDO, The Wayne Brown Institute, The MountainWest Capital Network and the Utah Association of CPA’s where he currently serves as the Vice President.
Kent was a founding member of the Olympus Angel Investors and is active in the Utah entrepreneurial community where he advises companies, associations, and educational institutions and is a frequent speaker on finance, accounting and entrepreneurship. Recently the Utah Technology Council honored Kent as their CFO of the Year for 2009 and the Utah Association of CPA’s honored him as 2010’s Outstanding CPA in Business and Industry.

Mark Hunter

Mark Hunter started in the Risk Management & Insurance industry in the year 1990.  Through the years he has help thousands of employers reduce their exposure to litigation, government audits & fines, and workplace accidents. He has also helped employers increase their profitability through tools and training that educate their employees to find bottom-line profit to the employer’s organization.

As a presenter, Mark has trained over ten thousand employers in seminar and education settings in areas of risk management (Immigration Issues- IRCA/E-verify, FMLA, ADAAA, Sexual Harassments, EEO issues, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, OSHA, PPACA, PDA, Employee Handbook, FLSA, and others).

He is a recognized author having been published in numerous articles on helping to identify and reduce employer risk.  In addition, he is also an OSHA Authorized Trainer.

Mark is involved in the community politically having served on the Holladay Community Council.  He was the campaign manager for two of his father’s re-election campaigns in the Utah House of Representatives, and continues to be politically involved.


Finn Robbins

Finn Robbins is a Relationship Manager with Chase Bank and works with business over $3 million in revenues per year.  Finn has worked for Chase Bank since 2001; during that time has been a branch manager, district manager, and relationship manager.

His current responsibilities include assisting business owners with all banking aspects from the complex treasury needs inside a checking account to financing with loans and lines of credit. Finn was the #1 lender for Chase in Utah for the past two years and is currently ranked #16 out of over 850 relationship managers nationwide.  Chase Bank prides itself in providing a national banking presence with a service-oriented small bank feeling.  Chase has committed to provide $12 billion in lending to small businesses during 2011.  In 2010, Chase extended $710 million in new loans to Utah small businesses.

Finn graduated from BYU with a BS degree in Economics and then earned his MBA from the University of Utah.


Bruce Law

He began his career at Ogilvy Advertising in New York where he worked on the Lever Brothers, Owens-Corning Fiberglas and Hardee’s Foods accounts.

Under Bruce’s direction, Sprout Marketing has helped more than 300 companies add over $300 million in incremental revenue to their top lines, launching more than 400 products in the process. Sprout itself has created a unique niche as an “outsourced marketing department” and has garnered significant adoption among small- to medium-sized businesses as well as startups.

Bruce is a sought after speaker and is regularly quoted in business and marketing publications. He is the co-founder of the Marketing Executive Forum and for the past six years has been named as a vSpring Capital Top 100 Entrepreneur (v|100). Bruce sits on the boards of the Utah Technology Council, the BYU Marriott School of Business, and the BYU Broadcasting Leadership Council. He is a strategic advisor to the World Trade Center Utah and a guest lecturer at BYU, the University of Utah and Westminster College. Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Brigham Young University.


Steven Rinehart

Steven Rinehart is a registered patent attorney who regularly prepares, prosecutes, secures and enforces patents and other IP rights.  He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the the University of Utah College of Law in 2003, and studied Computer Science, Naval Science and English as an undergraduate before getting his degree from Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. Before becoming a lawyer, he started and sold several Internet companies, and has an iron grasp of the virtual frontier, from coding trends to SEO, and of litigating cases involving the same.

Steve specializes in patent law (also focusing on Internet law). He regularly files patents on improved mechanical devices.  He is also interested in domain name disputes and software patents relating to steganography and cryptology. 

Steve has been featured in the ECT News and Associated Press, is a member of the Utah Trial Lawyers’ Association and founder ofwww.theopticon.com, a free legal file exchange for attorneys and non-attorneys alike.

Dave Bevan

Automatic Data Processing Small Business Services District Manager, ADP 

In 1999 Dave graduated BYU in business with an emphasis in marketing. From College he directly started working at ADP, the largest Payroll provider in the United States.  Out of 1,600 ADP representatives throughout the country and for the past nine years, Dave consistently ranks in the top eight (8) representatives for ADP.  He has qualified for the prestigious Presidents club eleven times.  Dave is licensed with his series 6 and 63 which allows him to sell retirement plans as well as being able to sell payroll and tax services. In ADP circles, Dave is referred to as the “Dr. of payroll” because he is a student of sales, ADP products/services, and tax law. Dave attributes much of his success to his consultative approach with his clients.

As an accredited investment fiduciary, he helps business owners understand and mitigate their risks in regards to retirement plans while offering unbiased recommendations and strategies. He lives in South Jordan with his beautiful wife and 4 boys.


 

Ray Ellison

Ray has over 30 years of experience in public accounting with Tanner, an international accounting firm, and various smaller firms.  Ray has served a number of public and private companies and not-for- profit entities.  Industries include construction, natural resources, real estate, manufacturing, software, distribution, retail, airlines and agricultural cooperatives.  He has assisted with public and private equity and debt offerings and significant mergers and acquisitions.  He has also been an expert witness on accounting and economic issues. Ray serves as a member of the International Professional Standards Committee for PKF International, the Utah State DOPL Peer Review Committee, the AICPA and the UACPA.

 

Jeff Clayton

Jeff Clayton is a recognized expert in health benefits law.  He is a shareholder in the law firm of Callister Nebeker & McCullough, a charter fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel; a member of the Editorial Board of the BNA Pension and Benefits Reporter and author of multiple articles on employee benefits.  Jeff has served as the assistant secretary of labor, EBSA division in Washington D.C.

Rich Tyson

He is married, is the father of six, and the grandfather of eleven.
